- 1 tablespoon of roasted ginger
- 1-2 tablespoons more sambal (chilli paste) if you like it spicy
- 2 lemons
- 2 cups of shrimp soup (you can use chicken stock if desired)
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 ounce cilantro
- 1 quart of sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps to make shrimp in chili lime sauce
- Optional* Shell the prawns, I use prawns or size 2-3 (I make a sauce with the shells).
- In a hot pan, add sesame oil.
- In the oil, add the prunes, garlic and ginger and fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Grease the pan with the soup and add chili sauce and salt and pepper.
- Reduce the stock by 1/3 and add butter and coriander.
- Let it boil for another 1-2 minutes.
- Serve with rice, noodles or vegetables and enjoy.
