Ingredients and Spices to Prepare a Jumbo Box:
- 1 medium red onion chopped
- 2 tbsp. crush garlic
- 1 pound hot Italian sausage
- 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 1 medium size red bell pepper, cut into cubes
- 1 medium yellow bell pepper, cut into cubes
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into cubes
- 3 Packs Lipton Cajun With Red Beans And Rice
- 3 pots of chicken broth (14 oz or 48 oz). Cardboard
- 3 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, to taste
- 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
Instructions for making a jumbo tailgate
- In a large saucepan, saute the chopped onion and garlic. Add a little oil or water for cooking. Add Italian sausage and brown. Filter it and put it back in the pot.
- Add chicken breast cubes and cook until white. The chicken juice remains in the pan. Add colored pepper to cubes. To prepare vegetables, you can add a little broth.
- Add 3 packets Lipton Cajun with beans, rice, and rest of the broth. Bring the mixture to a boil and then simmer for 30 minutes. The rice absorbs the broth as it cooks.
- Add Cajun seasoning. It can be used more or less according to taste. Add shrimp 10 minutes before serving. Cook the prawns until they turn pink.
